Srinath Narayanan (born 1994) is a former chess prodigy from Chennai, India. His talent in chess was recognized when he beat his father in a chess game at the age of five.
Srinath became the youngest FIDE rated chess player in India in 2002. In July 2005, he won the under-12 world chess championship held in Belfort, France, along with three others - Sanan Sjugirov of Russia, Samvel Ter Sahakyan of Armenia and Wesley So of Philippines. All four had a final score of 8.5.[1]
Srinath is an International Master. His FIDE Elo rating as of July 2011 is 2371.
